Job Description:
Senior Data ModelerThe RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Modeler to join our Data Solutions Center of Excellence.
As a skilled Modeler, you will provide data analysis and logical/physical model designs on multiple projects simultaneously.
You will collaborate with Agile squads, our team members, analysts, architects, and database administrators to facilitate the design and maintenance of highly normalized data models.
You will adhere to enterprise standards and best practices and maintain a robust inventory of design frameworks, standards and data model artifacts.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.
g.
Computer Science, Engineering, etc.
) with a focus on data analysis, data structures and data modeling.
Minimum of 7 years of OLTP/transactional hands-on data modeling experience.
Financial Services knowledge is a plus.
Solid understanding of different OLTP/transactional database platforms (e.
g.
DB2, Oracle, Posgresql, NoSQL).
Solid experience with data design, from requirements analysis to conceptual, logical and physical data model designs for OLTP applications is a requirement.
Demonstrable experience with data modelling tools (e.
g.
SAP Power Designer or Erwin) is a must.
Experience in executing projects in an Agile environment.
Outstanding interpersonal skills with experience collaborating and influencing across the organization including written, verbal, and technology illustrations.
Perform autonomously on tasks but willing and able to share knowledge with coworkers and partners.
Accepts uncertainty and can combine various sources of information including personal data experimentation, research, and dialogues to formulate answers.
Values pace over perfection and can show incremental progress of analysis and research through tangible artifacts.
Familiar with the financial industry and/or have a strong desire to learn our brokerage business to maximize the value of our data.
The TeamWe are responsible for designing and delivering conceptual, logical and physical data models, as well as source to target mappings, for large Brokerage capabilities that are undergoing modernizations to get off of legacy mainframe applications and data stores and into the cloud, including newly designed and robust data designs.
Our team members work independently on various projects but as a team, we are a highly skilled, motivated, and collaborative team.
All of our data models, including DDL scripts and data model artifacts are generated via SAP PowerDesigner.
